Hello everybody!
I hope you all had a great week. I sure did. It may have been stressful, but the weekend was exciting.
Firstly, I want to congratulate my sister for graduating from her pharmacy program as well as any of the 2022 graduates! I pray that God will continue blessing you and the rest of the year will be congratulations for you!
I was fortunate enough to attend a mental health art show this weekend. It featured dancers, poets, and artists of all kind. It was refreshing and enlightening. It also motivated what today's topic will be about.
In my Relax, Relate, Release! post, I spoke up about certain things that can help people whenever they are in a "funk". It was stressed upon during the show. Also, in my first mental health post this month, I spoke briefly about how I want people to talk to people. Whenever we are going through things, we tend to do it alone. But it is so important to talk to people. And if that does not help, find what works for YOU. Find what you can do to express how you feel. People express their emotions through art, through poetry, through drumming, through dancing and through writing -- like me. Sometimes, I'll record videos of myself and explain my thought process and what I'm thinking. It helps me, even though it does run my phone storage!
I won't stress too much on this, because I stated this the last post. But please, find a way to express your emotions. If you can't talk to other people, talk to yourself.
Lastly, I've seen more youth in my generation taking their lives this week alone. It is heartbreaking, but I am glad that this is spreading more and more awareness for mental health as a whole and "suffering in silence".
I pray this week brings nothing but happiness and peace for us. I pray we all have a happy week and indulge in nothing but joy and love.
I love you all,
-Kay.
